Creative Vision M - How's the Headphone Jack?

My Creative Zen NX finally gave up the ghost after 3 years; it
originally had a headphone jack problem and that part has failed yet
again. I tried soldering it as described at
http://www.pcpages.com/thebishop/nomadfix/, but that didn't work. (Not
sure why since the fix seemed simple and I'm pretty sure I didn't
solder anything that shouldn't be soldered).

I'm tempted to part with a large sum of cash for a Creative Vision M
now, but does anyone know if this suffers from the headphone jack
problem too? Is it attached to the circuit board just by solder points,
or is it properly anchored now?

Cheers,

P.
