I have had a 30GB Zen Xtra for a few years now, and the one thing I
dislike about it compared to my friends' iPods is that there is no was
to locate recently added music, although I see you can access that on
the computer on the Creative software. Do any of the more recent
Creative MP3 players have this feature? I sometimes go on a
downloading jag for a couple of weeks then forget which songs I have
recently added and would like to hear them.

From memory the Zen Micro at least had a feature along these lines, but it
wasn't particularly great. I think it would only find 20 songs, but as
mentioned I might have remembered it wrong.

I didn't think the iPod was able to do any song selection of this type
actually on the device, and needed iTunes?

The best player for this is the now "extinct" Rio Karma (and Rio's Car MP3
player, which came from the Empeg). The Rio DJ function on that is
excellent.

Thank. I was thinking I can create a playlist for new music and dump
anything new into there right after I transfer it to my player so I
won't have to rely on memory.
